Meet The Tribe

Meghan Nelson, DPT, RYT 200

Yoga for Special Abilities

Meghan has been practicing yoga on and off for decades, but became more committed than ever when she attended her first class at Evolve Yoga. This is where her practice became much more than a physical practice of the asanas as she was immersed in the spiritual and emotional healing through yoga.

Meghan completed a 45-hour training “Yoga for the Special Child” in April 2015 where her daughter, who has Down syndrome, served as a model for the class. Then she attended the 7-month teacher trainer program through Evolve and completed her RYT-200 in December of 2015.

Meghan enjoys her home yoga practice as well, and she is often joined by her husband and 3 children. Pranayama is practiced often together as a family throughout the day, especially at those times of stress when peace is needed most.

Meghan is also a Doctor of Physical Therapy, so her instruction and assists tend to focus on proper posture and alignment to avoid injuries and to promote wellness.
